Project Civic Square ("we") is a non-profit civic-education initiative in the UK. This notice explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights.
We use a small number of analytics cookies to understand how our site is used so we can improve it. These are not set unless you accept them — when you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Reject. If you reject (or ignore) the banner, no analytics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| cs-consent | Civic Square (this site) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. Strictly necessary — always set once you make a choice. | Until cleared |

| _ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for analytics (only after you accept). | 2 years |
Analytics is provided by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. See Google's privacy policy. Our pages also load two typefaces from Google Fonts, which transfers your IP address to Google when a page loads.
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us:
We use your information solely to arrange and deliver school sessions and to respond to your enquiries. We rely on legitimate interests as our lawful basis. We do not sell or share your information with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing.
Session requests and correspondence are kept only as long as needed to organise the session and for our records of the school year, after which they are deleted.
Photographs from sessions are published only with the school's consent, and testimonies are published anonymously (role and school type only).
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email civicsquareuk@gmail.com and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
